(The sense of Prophet’s true love) By: Mohd Zakariya Wahidi

It is a great deal of rejoicing and delighting to think about our Prophet’s appearance and arrival in this world ,and our happiness and joy know no boundaries when we feel that Almighty Allah made us a part of this noble Ummah, ‘Ummat -e- Muhammadiah, and bestowed upon us the great and holy prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his all family and his all companions) , for it is such a great favour which can’t be thanked by any mean. And Allah, The Almighty Himself reminded us of this favour, in The Glorious Qur’an He said:

Allah has surely conferred favor on the believers when He raised in their midst a messenger from among themselves who recites to them His verses and makes them pure and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, while earlier, they were in open error.

Indeed, he was such a great and lovely person that his unique arrival deserves to be celebrated by his followers each and everyday, and everywhere with no limitations of time and place, and he should be remembered continuously as Allah The Almighty mentioned his remembrance free from time and place.
.وَ رَفَعۡنَا لَکَ ذِکۡرَکَ ؕ
(سورہ الم نشرح آیت نمبر 4)
And We raised high your name.

Similarly, we should act upon and follow the same way that Qur’an explained, and was practiced by his companions who would love him more than their own lives and ready to sacrifice themselves to keep him away even from slightest pain like a thorn in his feet, and to protect him from arrows, they made themselves shield and saved him, in short, they showed towards the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family and companions), a kind of love and affection that the whole world has never witnessed in its entire existing history and will not do till its ending.
This is called a true love and deserves to be named with “Ishq” which is ardent and passionate love.

There are some famous and well-known known love stories made by Laila and Majno, Ranjhan and Heer, and Shireen and Farhad, although they were moved by a characterized and metabolic love not a literal and true love, but they did, and upholded it throughout their lives even they used to love their *loved ones’* houses and places, it is Majnu, a famous lover of Laila, who said:
أَمُرُّ على الدّيارِ ديارُ ليلى : أقبل ذا الجداروذا الجدار

وما حب الديار شغفن قلبي : ولكن حبُّ منْ سكنَ الديار

I kiss my beloved’s wall after wall while passing by her locality.
It is not her house which owned my heart but she only did,who lived in.

It is to be pondered over that if a figurative love is continued and has no limits of time and place, then what to say about the true and literal love, how it could be a seasonal and limited, and too weak to urge and get the followers ready to accept the prophetic words and to practice the instructions of prophet and act upon the Islamic guidances and teachings?
Violating the rules of Islam in the name of its prophet, and going against his own teachings, by playing music and dancing on his name, is something different that can’t be defined by prophetic love, because it is totally in contrast to what he said and asked his followers to do. Yes it could be called fulfillment of the sentiments and heart-wishes.

The true love of prophet means to believe in him and in all that he brought from our Creator, putting him in high regard, and loving him more than anyone even ourselves, holding onto his sunnah, and practicing them, inculcating and instilling his manners in ourselves, promoting his mission, propagating his Dawah work among people, presenting him as a benefactor of humanity and as a mercy to all mankind.

It also reflects true love of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), if we remove the misconceptions about Islam and its prophet and his teachings, and spread love, affection and mercy of what that he brought to the entire humanity, and specially human rights which are most- discussed topic of the contemporary era, a nation is weighed” based on them, that means a nation whatever it may be, is treated with respect and honour if it possess the human rights, If don’t have then it will not carry weight as per the current standard of respect and honour.

It is well-known to those who are aware of islamic history that there has been always bickering and clashing between Islam and its enemies, but nowadays, in addition to newspapers and pamphlets, an intensive wave of vulgarity, blasphemy and derogatory remarks on Islam and its prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him),is flooded on Twitter, Facebook and other platforms of social media, if we use them to remove the misconceptions about Islam, Islamophobia and prophet, and spread peace and love wich is a real face of Islam, in shā Allah, it also would be considered as great and true sign of love and affection for the beloved and noble prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Let’s make pledge to do so and truly love the prophet.
